Anthony Pettis Suffers Broken Nose During Win Over Stephen Thompson

Anthony Pettis got back to his “ninja ways” during his win over Stephen Thompson couple of weeks ago. “Showtime” used the cage to push himself toward Thompson, while landing a Superman punch, that all but put Thompson’s lights out. Anthony Pettis has since talked about returning to lightweight, and having what he believes to be a dream match with Conor McGregor.

However, according to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, Pettis suffered a broken nose during his fight with Thompson. It was also reported that while Pettis doesn’t require surgery, he needs to rest for four to six weeks.

Pettis (22-8 MMA) knocked out the former welterweight title challenger in the second round in Nashville. Anthony Pettis also became the only third fighter in UFC history to win fights in three different weight classes, and also became the first person to stop Thompson by knockout in his professional MMA career.
