Anthony Smith Responds To Jon Jones’ Latest Test Results

Anthony “Lionheart” Smith understands what he signed up for at UFC 235. The #3 ranked light heavyweight contender in the world knows that fighting Jon Jones comes with its baggage.

Yesterday, we had reported that Jon Jones’ VADA test, which was done the day before his UFC 232 fight against Alexander Gustafsson, came back positive for the same banned substance. While the UFC, USADA and CSAC continue to overlook the glaring discrepancies in Jon’s test results, Anthony Smith doesn’t really care much about what Jon has in his system.

With the MMA community once again going after Jones and his next opponent, it did not take long for Smith to get wind of the news. However, “Lionheart” responded by saying he does not care about what Jon has — or hasn’t — popped for.

“If you’re hitting me up about this, don’t. I truly don’t care”, Smith wrote on his Twitter feed.”

“Picograms, no picograms, Olympic sized swimming pools, grains of salt… I couldn’t care any less. I signed on the line and did it knowing what I was signing up for and with no expectations. I’m good, y’all.”

Jones – Smith is currently expected to headline UFC 235 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. However, for Jon to compete, he must first get cleared by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. The UFC Light Heavyweight Champion is scheduled to appear before the commission on January 29th to plead his case.
