Arjan Bhullar Signs With ONE Championship

ONE Championship has acquired another fighter from the UFC. Arjan Singh Bhullar has taken to Twitter to announce that he has signed a contract with a new promotion, after receiving multiple offers.

Although Bhullar didn’t specify that he had signed with ONE Championship, several MMA outlets are reporting that it is indeed with ONE.

Bhullar was the first fighter of South Indian origin and of Sikh faith, to fight in the UFC Octagon.

The Canadian born heavyweight recently fought out his UFC contract, beating Juan Adams via unanimous decision, at UFC Ottawa in May. The win took his professional MMA record to 9-1, having gone 3-1 inside the Octagon.

Bhullar joins the ONE Championship heavyweight division, which currently has UFC veteran Brandon Vera, as its champion. Vera is scheduled to challenge Aung La Nsang for the ONE light heavyweight title in October, at ONE: Century.

The 33 year old is the latest ONE signing from the UFC. Demetrious Johnson, Eddie Alvarez, Sage Northcutt and Vitor Belfort are among those that have travelled East to join the Asian based promotion.
