Brian Ortega Gunning For Max Holloway Rematch

Brian Ortega has been medically cleared to return to the Octagon. The last time we saw him in action, the 28 year old lost to the UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway, at UFC 231 in December.

In one of the fights of the year, the doctors stopped the fight at the end of the fourth round. Ortega sustained a broken nose and thumb in the fight.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, Ortega said that he has officially been cleared to fight again and straight away has set his sights on a rematch with Holloway.

“Oh yeah, absolutely man, there’s a lot of things I could have done different [in the first fight with Holloway]. Especially if I had have turned up in the right frame of mind. This time I’m going to make it happen.

“I told everyone, this isn’t going to be the only time we meet. We’re going to meet each other multiple times in this weight class or the next.”

In the mean time though, ‘T-City’ has his eye on returning this summer.

Since Ortega faced Holloway at the end of 2018, the 145lbs champion has been in action once, losing to Dustin Poirier last month at UFC 236, while fighting for the UFC interim lightweight title.

Who would you like to see Ortega face in his first fight back?
