Brock Lesnar Loses Universal Championship, Daniel Cormier Comments

Last night at WrestleMania 35, Brock Lesnar dropped the Universal Championship to Seth Rollins. Before the match, Paul Heyman insinuated that Lesnar would show up next in the UFC, further adding fuel to the fire concerning recent reports about Lesnar facing Cormier at UFC 241. Brock Lesnar and Seth Rollins opened the main card at WrestleMania, with Rollins defeating Lesnar to win the Universal Championship.

For the past couple of years, Lesnar has been contemplating about a possible return to the UFC for one last run. Although his last fight with Mark Hunt was shrouded in controversy due to Lesnar testing positive for banned substances, both the fighter and Dana White have been wanting Lesnar to return to the organization. Furthermore, Brock had previously confronted Daniel Cormier inside the Octagon after Cormier defeated Stipe Miocic for the title, immediately laying the foundations for a fight between the two.

With Lesnar losing the title, many believe that the former UFC Heavyweight Champion will return to the promotion in August. Even the current UFC Heavyweight Champion took to Twitter to comment on Lesnar’s loss.

“Ha, Brock got beat up”, Cormier quipped. Daniel is also a massive professional wrestling fan, and was in attendance at WrestleMania 31 when Seth Rollins defeated Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
