Conor McGregor And Dustin Poirier Trade Blows Again

Conor McGregor is expected to return to the UFC Octagon early next year and Dustin Poirier is in the mix to welcome the Irishman back to the cage. Also in the mix are Justin Gaethje and Frankie Edgar.

All three would love that fight and are going about it in their own way. Edgar has respectfully asked McGregor to fight him next. Gaethje has gone the complete other direction, by stating that he despises him. Then somewhere in the middle, you have Poirier, who has been making little digs at the former UFC two division champion.

Last month the had some back on forth on social media. And in the last couple of hours, the two have traded blows again on Twitter.

After McGregor had a little dig at Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, and their BMF title at UFC 244, Poirier responded by throwing a little shade back his way. McGregor didn’t waste anytime by telling Poirier to count his bank digits.

McGregor and Poirier fought each other at UFC 178 five years ago, when the 31 year old stopped ‘The Diamond’ in the first round.

Had McGregor have stayed at featherweight after he beat Jose Aldo at UFC 194, he probably would have fought Edgar next. But instead he moved up and has fought at welterweight or lightweight in his four fights since. Conor’ coach John Kavanagh has recently said that he would like him to face ‘The Answer’ next.

‘The Notorious’ also almost fought Gaethje. Speaking to ESPN in August, he told Ariel Helwani that he was in talks to face ‘The Highlight’ in the summer, before he broke his hand in training.

Who would you like to see Conor McGregor fight next, Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje or Frankie Edgar?
