We’re all used to the trash talking of Conor McGregor but there are times when he shows his respectful side. And earlier today was one of those times, when he took to Twitter to show his respect for the Gracie family.

Very excited to see Kron Gracie compete tomorrow in the UFC.
Son of Rickson, partner of Diaz.
So much lineage.
Very proud and exciting moment here for the prestigious Gracie family. Remember that without this family, none of us would have a job we loved.

Kron Gracie makes his UFC debut at this weekend’s UFC Phoenix against Alex ‘Bruce Leeroy’ Caceres, in what will be the 5000th UFC fight. Providing there are no last minute withdrawals or changes to the card. Kwon will be corner by the man McGregor has shared the Octagon with twice, Nate Diaz.

The show of appreciation comes less than a day after the former UFC double champion showed his respect to another MMA pioneer, Bas Rutten.

McGregor doesn’t have a fight lined up yet but his suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission ends in April and it is expected that he will fight ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the summer.
