Conor McGregor Teases Working For WWE

Last night, WWE rolled out with its biggest event of the calendar year, WrestleMania 35. In the opening bout on the main card, Brock Lesnar dropped the Universal Championship to Seth Rollins, setting the stage for a night of unpredictable outcomes. In the main event, former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey defended her RAW Women’s Championship, along with Charlotte Flair’s SmackDown Women’s title in a triple threat match.

In the end, Ronda was pinned by ‘The Irish Lasskicker’ — now fondly known as “The Man”, Becky Lynch. In doing so, Becky also became the first woman in WWE to pin Ronda Rousey.

While the entire wrestling world celebrated Lynch’s win, another Irish sportsperson was quick to jump in, and insinuate that he might want to go to WWE next.

Former champ-champ Conor McGregor took to Twitter to congratulate his Irish counterpart, and left the door open to make his own way to WWE.

“Congrats to Irelands Becky Lynch”, Conor tweeted. “The WWE’s first Champ Champ. Wow! What a match these ladies put on! Ronda Rousey is something special in that ring, as is Charlotte Flair of the Flair dynasty! Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do. Or could I…(sic).”

Earlier, WWE’s head honchos Triple H and Stephanie McMahon talked about welcoming Conor McGregor to WWE, if the Irishman ever chose to walk down that road.
