Dana White Provides Updates On Conor McGregor And Tony Ferguson

In the aftermath of UFC Fort Lauderdale, UFC President Dana White fielded questions from the members of the media during the post-fight press conference. Naturally, some of the questions were about the fighters who fought on the card. In between, Dana White also talked about those that haven’t fought in the Octagon for some time.

Tony Ferguson and Conor McGregor haven’t fought in 2019. While Ferguson has been dealing with some issues outside the cage, McGregor has been holding out for a fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov.

However, Tony has now been medically cleared to compete, while Khabib is expected to fight Dustin Poirier in September. When White was asked about Ferguson’s status, the UFC head-honcho said that he still wasn’t ready to fight.

“As far as I know right now Tony is still not ready to go — or I would be trying to book him”, White told the reporters.

Dana was also asked about Conor McGregor, and while White said that he was supposed to meet the Irishman in Miami, they will be meeting in LA soon.

“I was supposed to meet with him down here. We’re going to meet in LA instead”, White claimed.
