Daniel Cormier Picks Up Restaurant Bill For Woman Battling Cancer
Daniel Cormier certainly isn’t as polarizing a figure as his counterpart Jon Jones. While there are fans who do not like DC, the UFC heavyweight champion is generally well-spoken. Cormier, who held the light heavyweight title before vacating it a week ago, is reportedly eyeing a showdown with either Brock Lesnar or Stipe Miocic next.
Cormier has been a great ambassador for the sport of mixed martial arts. More recently, TMZ Sports broke the story that would only cement Daniel as one of MMA’s “good guys”. DC, who reportedly went to a Japanese restaurant in California, met a mother and son, and had a meal with the duo. According to TMZ, Cormier then paid for their meal, picking up a $ 300 dollar tab, before writing a note wishing the mother a happy birthday.
TMZ revealed that the mother was battling Stage 4 cancer, and DC wasn’t even aware of her condition! Ms. Rosario’s son told TMZ that his mother had been having a hard time with cancer, but Daniel made her birthday special.
Cormier’s next fight is expected to go down in the coming months, and with Jones returning to competition, the new UFC light heavyweight champion did not waste any time, calling Daniel out at UFC 232.
