Daniel Cormier vs Stipe Miocic 2 is official. Moments ago on the UFC Ottawa broadest, it was announced that the rematch will headline UFC 241 on August 17th, in Anaheim, California.

And it didn’t take long for the UFC to confirm it on social media.

Cormier won their first encounter at UFC 226 last July, via a first round TKO. In doing so ‘DC’ dethroned Miocic to win the UFC heavyweight title.

Although Miocic hasn’t fought since, he has been consistently pushing for a rematch. Cormier has one fight under his belt, since their first clash, a title defence against Derrick Lewis at UFC 230.

Cormier was expected to fight Brock Lesnar next. However, Lesnar ruled himself out, after retiring this week. You can read more about this and the reasons here.
