Eric Kelly Gets New Opponent At ONE: Roots Of Honor
Eric Kelly has a new opponent for ONE: Roots Of Honor. The Filipino will now face ‘Pretty Boy’ Kwon Won Il in featherweight contest. Kelly was scheduled to face Tang Kai but will now face the South Korean Kwon, who steps in on late notice.
Kwon has already fought twice in 2019. The 23 year old needed just 67 seconds to knockout Anthony Engelen, in his ONE debut at ONE: Eternal Glory in January. This was followed up by a loss to Masakazu Imanari at ONE: Call To Greatness, via a first round heel hook.
The 36 old Kelly has a record of 12-6 and will be hoping to bring an end to a slide of five straight losses. The brother of Edward Kelly, won his previous three fights prior to his current losing streak.
ONE: Roots Of Honor goes down on April 12th, at the Mall Of Asia Arena, Manila and sees two title fights go down, Martin Nguyen vs Narantungalag and Yosuke Saruta vs Joshua Pacio.
