Holly Holm Signs New UFC Contract

The former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm, has signed a new six fight contract with the UFC. Holm’s agent Lenny Fresquez informed ESPN that his client had two fights left on her previous deal but has now penned a new deal. Fresquez said he was happy with the deal.

“I’m very happy with the deal. We worked feverishly with the UFC to get this done. We’re ready to get to work. I’m sure the UFC will have some great plans to announce for Holly in the near future.”

Holm was last seen inside the UFC Octagon last June, when she beat Megan Anderson. She was then due to face Aspen Ladd at UFC 235 but was pulled from the card. It was reported at the time that this was due to contract negotiations. It also started speculation that the UFC was working on a title fight between Holm and the bantamweight and featherweight champion, Amanda Nunes.

The 37 year old won the UFC bantamweight title at UFC 193, back in 2015, when she spectacularly knocked out Ronda Rousey.

Would you like to see Holm challenge Nunes at 135lbs next?
