Yesterday we reported that the UFC will return back to Scandinavia in September. After another exciting night of fights in Stockholm this past weekend, UFC fans in Scandinavia won’t have to wait very long for their next fix of live UFC action, as the promotion will return to Sweden’s neighbour, Denmark, for UFC Copenhagen on September 28th.

And if Sweden’s Jack Hermansson has his way, he will be on the card facing Kelvin Gastelum. As he stated in the Fan Q&A, prior to the ceremonial weigh-ins, at UFC Stockholm.

“The only person ranked ahead of me that’s available is Kelvin Gastelum, so that’s who I want to fight. Kelvin Gastelum, main event, Copenhagen in September. That would be something.”

Hermansson didn’t compete in his home UFC event, having fought ‘Jacare’ Souza a month prior, at UFC Fort Lauderdale. The 30 year old won via unanimous decision, to make it four straight wins inside the UFC Octagon and take him a step closer to challenging for the UFC middleweight title.

‘The Joker’ certainly isn’t lacking confidence right now. When asked in the Q&A whether he thinks he will beat Gastelum, he predicted a first round win.

“Of course [in] the first round. Ground-and-pound or the guillotine, for sure.”
