Junior Dos Santos Eyeing Up Francis Ngannou Next

After his third straight win this weekend, finishing Derrick Lewis at UFC Wichita, Junior dos Santos is 100% back in the title mix in the UFC heavyweight division.

And one opponent who would make a lot of sense for ‘Cigano’ to face next, would be Francis Ngannou. Who himself has just come off a big win, finishing the former heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez. A fight with the 13-3 Ngannou, you could argue would be for the number one contender spot.

When asked on ESPN+’s UFC Wichita post fight show about a potential showdown with ‘The Predator’, dos Santos said he was down for the fight.

“I think that would be great. It should have happened in the past, but something weird happened. Maybe now, it can happen.”

Dos Santos and Ngannou were scheduled to fight at UFC 215 in September of 2017 but he tested positive in a USADA drug test and was pulled from the bout. Although dos Santos would later get cleared of taking a performance enhancing drug intentionally, he was still suspended for six months. Since coming back, the Brazilian has won all three of his fights inside the Octagon.

Following dos Santos’ impressive win over Lewis, Ngannou took to Twitter, to post this message.

Would you like to see dos Santos and Ngannou throw down inside the UFC Octagon?
