The first event of the second season of PFL has once again taken a hit, with Kayla Harrison now facing a change in opponent. A week after the original main event had to be changed, with Kayla Harrison vs. Svetlana Khautova then slated to headline the first event of the new season on Thursday, Svetlana has withdrawn from the fight.

Kayla Harrison will now instead face Larissa Pacheco (11-2) in the lightweight main event. The reason for Svetlana’s withdrawal hasn’t been made public.

The original main event was expected to see Chris Curtis go up against Louis Taylor at welterweight. However, the New York State Athletic Commission refused to clear Louis a week prior to the fight, leading to PFL nixing the fight between the two.

Pacheco was initially scheduled to fight Roberta Samad in the opener. However, with Svetlana pulling out, she has now been bumped to the main event.
