Kayla Harrison: I 100% beat Khabib In A Judo Match

Kayla Harrison begins her quest to win the $1 million prize money in the Professional Fighters League’s (PFL) eight women lightweight tournament, this Thursday night at PFL 1.

The two time Olympic judo gold medalist takes on Larissa Pacheco in the main event, this Thursday night in Long Island, New York. Ahead of the clash, Harrison told TMZ Sports that she believes that she could beat Khabib Nurmagomedov in a judo contest.

“Am I gonna beat Khabib? I mean I think I would beat him in a judo match. For sure. 100%. I would beat Khabib.”

And Khabib’s agent Ali Abdelaziz, who also manages Kayla, said he would be interested in setting something up, for the right price. Adding that Harrison would give Khabib a tougher match than Conor McGregor.

Harrison, who has a perfect 3-0 record since switching from judo to MMA, has had two change of opponents in the lead up to this week’s PFL 1. She was originally scheduled to face Pacheco, but the PFL switched things around and moved Harrison to the headline slot against Svetlana Khautova.

However, Khautova was pulled from the card yesterday. Resulting in Harrison and Pacheco being matched up again. You can see the full line ups for the first three PFL events of the new season, here.

The PFL has a completely unique format. Competitors gain points for wins and can earn bonus points for early finishes. The fighters with the most points at the end of the season move on to the playoffs.

The playoffs will begin on October 11th and the PFL Championship finals will go down on New Year’s Eve. The winner of each tournament will win $1 million.

Would you give Kayla Harrison a chance against Khabib Nurmagomedov in a judo contest?
