Lito Adiwang Ready To Face Anyone In The ONE Strawweight Division

After impressing in the ONE Warrior Series and making a stunning full ONE Championship debut against the very tough Japanese Senzo Ikeda at ONE: Century, Lito Adiwang, has introduced himself very well in the promotion’s strawweight division.

Addressing the media after his win this past weekend in ONE: Century Part I, the ‘Thunder Kid’ was ecstatic about his performance.

“First of all, I feel very happy, I feel content because I delivered what I came here to do, and got the victory.”

Going into the match in Japan, Team Lakay‘s Adiwang knew that the former Pancrase champion was a large road block in his pathway to stardom, which is why he prepared so hard for the showdown.

“I know he’s a tough opponent. He’s a hometown hero, but I’m here to win. I prepared hard for this, so I came, and I conquered.”

He also received some inside information from his teammate Danny Kingad, who fought the Japanese veteran earlier this year.

“Danny gave some tips on how strong Senzo Ikeda is, how heavy he is, and how to control him,”

Additionally, the 26-year old warrior aims to capture the ultimate prize of being a title holder in the future.

“[I’ll face] anybody. I want to be the champion in ONE, Anyone given to me, I’ll accept, and I’ll prepare for it. Let’s go. But for now, I’m still new in ONE, so I’ll just wait for who they’re going to give me.”

Being a champion in his division though might cause a conflict as the current Strawweight king is his Team Lakay brother Joshua Pacio but Lito has shut down the idea of him pitting against his own teammate, thus focuses on the other athletes he could potentially face

“For now, I’m not thinking of it, If the moment comes, then we’ll deal with it, but for now, we got a lot of good competitors in my division, so let me deal with them,” wrapped up Adiwang.
