Lyoto Machida Says He’s Ready For Ryan Bader

Lyoto Machida is coming fresh off of a win over Chael Sonnen, last week at Bellator 222. Following the loss at Madison Square Garden to Machida, Sonnen announced his retirement.

The win was Machida’s fourth in a row and second in Bellator, having beaten Rafael Carvalho, via split decision in his debut at Bellator 213.

And clearly the 41 year old isn’t ready to hang his gloves up yet. When asked by TMZ Sports how long he plans to carry on fighting for, ‘The Dragon’ said he planned to fight on for another three or four years.

And the Brazilian isn’t just content with taking part, the former UFC light heavyweight champion wants to challenge Ryan Bader for the Bellator light heavyweight title next.

“I feel so good and so athletic still. I’ll be ready for him.

Machida and Bader fought previously in the UFC, back in 2012. Lyoto won via a second round knockout.

Bader is the current Bellator light heavyweight and heavyweight champion and is on a seven fight win streak.

Would you like to see Ryan Bader denend his light heavyweight title against Lyoto Machida next?
