On Friday night, Martin Nguyen returns to the Philippines again to defend his ONE featherweight title against Koyomi Matsushima. Ahead of his main event, we spoke to the Vietnamese Australian.

We discussed his second training camp at Hard Knocks 365 in Florida, having Henri Hooft in his corner, how much extra incentive and motivation training away from his family has given the 30 year old ahead of Friday night and how he has the best wife in the world.

Martin also spoke of his respect for Matsushima, his love affair with the Philippines and what it means to him to be headlining a card with Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez on. We also spoke about the featherweight scene in ONE right now and his thoughts on Christian Lee beating Shinya Aoki recently to win the ONE lightweight title.

‘The Situ-Asian’ also gave us his prediction for Friday night in Manila.
