McGregor Looks Back At Khabib Fight, Says He Fought With Broken Foot

Conor McGregor has had a busy couple of hours, replying to fans’ tweets on Twitter. During these tweets, the former UFC two division champion looked back at his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.

In one tweet, McGregor said he broke his foot three weeks prior to the fight with Khabib but insisted he was happy with how the contest went and lessons learned.

When challenged as to why he was happy, the Irish man elaborated, saying he was very happy with his defence.

Khabib won the fight on the night, via a fourth round submission. The night will be mainly remembered for the brawl that followed the main event, hich saw Conor, Khabib and others suspended and fined by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

A little earlier, when asked about the Max Holloway vs Dustin Poirier fight this weekend at UFC 236, McGregor said he was eager to watch the UFC interim lightweight title contest.

The Irish man also confirmed that he is still in negotiations to fight.
