Michael Bisping Wants To Squash Beef With Jorge Masvidal

Michael Bisping and Jorge Masvidal have gone back and forth with each since UFC 217 fight week in November of 2017, when the pair had a heated altercation at the fighters’ hotel in New York. It stemmed from Masvidal taking offence to Bisping ripping the Cuban flag up, during Yoel Romero’s first fight with Robert Whittaker.

As well as exchanging words ever since then, the two also had another confrontation in Shanghai last year.

Ahead of UFC London this weekend, where Masvidal will face Darren Till in the main event, Bisping has said on his ‘Believe You Me‘ podcast that he wants to squash their beef (as transcribed by MMA Fighting).

“I hope I see him in London. I hope I see him in London so I can just walk over and say, ‘Hey, listen, can we just end this bulls***?’ Because as I’ve said, I don’t know the guy. I don’t know him and he doesn’t know me.

“I’m not against Masvidal anymore. I’ve got no issue with him. I never had.

“Let’s see how he behaves in London. Now that I’m with ESPN and not Fox, when we used to travel to the arenas for Fox, Fox always put us up in a separate hotel – a very, very nice, five-star bougie hotel I might add. Now we’re in UFC hotel, so we’re surrounded by all the fighters and stuff like that. So no doubt I’ll be seeing him around fight week. So let’s see how all that goes. If there’s another interaction, if he’s trying to start a fight with me in the lobby like he did in New York, and in Shanghai, and in London. [But] I think that ship has sailed.”

Although Bisping is keep to put their feud behind them, whether Masvidal feels the same, is another question. Only a few weeks ago, he was telling the UFC London launch press conference that he still hadn’t forgiven the former UFC middleweight champion. Which you can see here.

With UFC London fight week already here upon us, we probably won’t have to wait long to find out if Masvidal will also be willing to squash their beef.
