Michelle Waterson Prepared To Do Whatever It Takes To Get A Title Shot
Michelle Waterson is set to fight Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC Philadelphia later this month, in a fight that could give the winner the next shot at the UFC strawweight title.
Ahead of the clash, Waterson spoke to the media about the fight that goes down on March 30th.
“We’ve been wanting to fight Karolina. She’s fought the best of the best, and a fight against her is going to get me to where I need to be to fight for the belt, which is my ultimate goal. So I’m very excited. I know I have a lot on my hands. She’s just as well rounded and creative as me. So I’m looking forward to the fight.”
Asked whether she could demand a title shot with a win over Kowalkiewicz, Waterson said she wouldn’t be demanding anything. But just continuing doing whatever she has to do to get a title shot.
“I have a goal to fight for the belt. So whatever I have to do to get there is what I’d like to do.”
