Nate Diaz Posts Training Footage Of Him Preparing For Dustin Poirier
In an eagerly anticipated return to the Octagon, Nate Diaz was due to return to action at UFC 230 against Dustin Poirier. It would have been the first time we had seen the younger Diaz brother fight since his second encounter with Conor McGregor at UFC 196, in March of 2016.
Unfortunately, Poirier suffered an injury and the fight got cancelled. A few months on and Nate has just posted some footage of him training, in the lead up to the fight.
Although the fight was cancelled due to Poirier’s injury, Nate had dropped a couple of hints that come fight night, he wouldn’t be there. Particularly as UFC President Dana White, had refused to make the fight for a 165lbs title.
Dana has since said that he doesn’t believe Nate, or his brother Nick, will fight again.
Just last week at UFC Phoenix, Nate and Dana paths crossed and it was caught on video. Nate was in Phoenix to corner Kron Gracie. You can see the moment they see each other in Dana’s recap of the event below.
Do you think we’ll see Nate fight again?
