ONE Championship Partners With The United Nations And Microsoft

ONE Championship has partnered up with the United Nations as the latter organisation reaches its 75th anniversary. The move was made in an effort to get more voices heard, especially in Asia.

In this joint effort, some of ONE Championship’s top athletes will invite their fans to take the UN’s one-minute survey. The survey aims to hear from people around the world in order to bring positive change. The aforementioned athletes include ONE Vice President Miesha Tate, ONE women’s strawweight champion Xiong Jingnan, Vitor Belfort, Yoshihiro ‘Sexyama’ Akiyama, Ritu Phogat, Rika Ishige, Bi Nguyen and Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol.

ONE will also host a webinar titled “TOGETHER AS ONE #UN75” on July 14th, 2020. It will feature a panel of speakers that will discuss how sports, brands and businesses are responsible for uniting communities. ONE Group President Hua Fung Teh said that he was excited with the collaboration with the UN.

“ONE Championship, like the UN, is a values-based organization, and our mission is to unleash real-life superheroes who ignite the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration. We believe in the unifying power of sports, especially in these difficult times, and collaboration with entities like the UN represents our continued commitment to effect positive change in the community via our global platform.”

UN-Under-Secretary-General Fabrizio Hochschild, who will be leading the UN’s efforts to commemorate UN75 hopes that working with ONE on the UN75 initiative will have a positive impact.

“Working with a dynamic organisation like ONE Championship, we hope that together, we can make a meaningful impact through the UN75 initiative.”

ONE Championship Partner With Microsoft

ONE Championship has also announced a strategic partnership with Microsoft. Microsoft is now ONE’s preferred cloud and data services provider, powering its digital transformation and accelerating innovation across all touchpoints.

Through this alliance, ONE and Microsoft are co-investing in digital fan experience transformation. The partnership is set to further enhance ONE’s vision to engage fans through its unique brand of Asian values, world-class athletes and global appeal. As ONE accelerates its digital journey, the company will leverage the power of the cloud and data to build new capabilities and deliver cutting-edge digital experiences for its millions of fans around the world.

Through Azure AI, machine learning and data analytics, ONE will expand its core data capabilities and transform its direct-to-consumer digital experiences. Offering fans unique sets of data and statistics to better understand the strength of a kick or a punch. Ultimately, the fans will be able to enjoy a more immersive experience when watching live events.

The collaboration between ONE and Microsoft will also allow fans to experience events remotely with the flexibility and scalability needed to address increasing demand from end users – especially during this unprecedented time when sports entertainment shifts to digital. In the future, the partnership will also enable ONE to explore other innovations such as the use of holographic computing in injury prevention; as well as the ability to improve athletic performance through AI and machine learning.

ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong said he was thrilled to officially partner with Microsoft.

“I am thrilled to announce that ONE Championship has officially partnered with Microsoft to deliver fans the absolute best in data-driven digital experiences. ONE Championship is a global leader in live sports, and through the Microsoft cloud, we can accelerate our capabilities and digital presence.”
