There aren’t many challenges in the world of mixed martial arts, bigger than facing one of Team Lakay’s stars in the Philippines capital of Manila. That’s exactly the challenge that Reece McLaren has in front of him Friday night at ONE: Dawn Of Heroes.

And the Australian couldn’t be more excited for the challenge. Having lost to Kairat Akhmetov in Tokyo earlier this year at ONE: A New Era, Reece was eliminated from the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix. But an injury to Akhmetov has given the 27 year old a second chance in the Grand Prix and he plans on grabbing the opportunity with both hands.

Ahead of his exciting match up with the Team Lakay man, we spoke to Reece, who told us how he’s had one of the best fight camps he’s ever had and how excited and honoured he is to be on such a big card again.
