Last week RIZIN FF announced details of their upcoming RIZIN 19 card, which included the promotion revealing the eight fighters set to take part in their Lightweight Grand Prix first round on the card. RIZIN has now confirmed the matchups.

The RIZIN Lightweight Grand Prix quarterfinal matchups will see Bellator’s Patricky ‘Pitbull’ Freire face Japanese veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri; former UFC fighter Damien Brown go up against Azerbaijan’s Tofiq Musaev, who is on a eleven fight winning streak; unbeaten Roberto ‘Satoshi’ de Souza of Brazil take on another former UFC fighter, in Johnny Case; and Japan’s Hiroto Uesako square off against another Brailian, Luiz Gustavo.

As confirmed previously, the main event will see the RIZIN light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka, face former UFC light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado, in a catchweight bout at 100kg.
