ROAD Fighting Championship (ROAD FC) recently announced a title fight for ROAD FC 054, which will take place on June 15, 2019 in Wonju, South Korea. In the main event, Middleweight Champion La In-Jae’s will defend his title for the first time against top contender, Yang Hae-Jun.

Middleweight Champion La In-Jae (8-0-1, Team Korea MMA) created the changing of the guard, when he defeated long-time Korean MMA fighter “Ryo” Choi Young in a blazing three round battle at ROAD FC 048. He is a dominant wrestler with powerful striking, who has worn down opponent after opponent, going undefeated and showing that he can dismantle whatever game plan is brought to him with grinding precision.

Yang Hae-Jun (12-6, Team Posse) is a veteran from Spirit MC and Neofight, and rose to international acclaim at Legend FC. He has been the powerful, threatening knockout artist with an increasing cache of weapons in his arsenal. Although Yang lost in his highly anticipated return against the acrobatic Michel Pereira, he came back to choke out Lim Dong-Hwan at ROAD FC 052.

Champion La will again be tested by the experience that challenger Yang possesses. However La wants to prove to the world that he’s no longer a prospect, but a champion.

ROAD FC 053

Prior to the event, ROAD FC 053 will take place on May 18 as the very first MMA event on the resort island of Jeju, South Korea. The main event will be the long-anticipated Lightweight Championship defense by Kwon A-Sol as he takes on $1 Million Tournament winner Mansour Barnaoui. The co-main event will be the return of young Chinese heavyweight standout Aorigele against kickboxing legend Jérôme Le Banner.
