Luke Rockhold Says He’s Coming For Jon Jones
Luke Rockhold has said he’s coming for Jon Jones. Speaking to Helen Yee, Rockhold gave an update on his injuries, discussed moving up to light heavyweight and Jon Jones’ recent issues with abnormal test results.
Rockhold said that he wouldn’t be moving up to 205lbs if he didn’t want to fight Jones.
“I’m excited. We’ll get the fight happening soon. I’m going to pick off somebody and then I’m going to come find Jon.”
Speaking of Jones, the former UFC middleweight champion said that he wasn’t surprised about Jones’ recent abnormal test results.
“Nope, I’m not. I know this sport very well. Some people get away with it, some people don’t. It’s an annoying process but like I said, as long as I can focus on my strength and not deplete myself, I can still beat these guys at their best. On their best.”
Asked whether he thought Jones should have been punished, Rockhold said that he believed he should have.
“Yes. Like everybody else. Like what the rule says. No one gets their treatment. They set rules and they break ’em. What’s the point of setting the rules?”
Rockhold hasn’t fought since last February, when he suffered a third round knockout loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 221.
