Sources: Georges St-Pierre To Announce Retirement

Georges St-Pierre, considered by many to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, is contemplating retirement. In fact, the fighter has officially called for a press conference tomorrow in Canada. Sources have told multiple outlets, including ESPN, that the former middleweight champion will announce his retirement from the sport.

It is also being reported that GSP was interested in fighting one last time in the UFC. Georges St-Pierre has been sharing photos of himself looking lean, while the fighter had previously admitted he’d like to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov. It is being said that George had asked the UFC to book a fight between the two. However, with that fight not happening anytime soon, GSP has reportedly made up his mind to call it a day.

Georges is a former UFC Welterweight Champion, and his last fight inside the Octagon saw him defeat Michael Bisping to win the UFC Middleweight Championship. St-Pierre then relinquished the title due to injuries, and was eyeing one last fight inside the Octagon this year.

More on the story as it develops. Do check back tomorrow, as we will cover GSP’s press conference.
