A Huge flyweight bout is heading to UFC Minneapolis, as the number one ranked Jussier Formiga will take on the number two ranked Joseph Benavidez .

The 125lbs fight will be a rematch of their previous contest in 2013. The first time round, Benavidez won via a first round TKO.

Since then, Formiga has gone 8-2 and has won his last four fights. Most recently, the Brazilian beat fellow top contender Deiveson Figueiredo via unanimous decision, at last month’s UFC Nashville.

The 34 year old Benavidez has gone 8-1 since losing to the former flyweight king, Demetrious Johnson. With his only loss coming via a split decision loss to Sergio Pettis at UFC 225. Since then, he has back to back wins over Alex Perez and Dustin Ortiz.

UFC Minneapolis goes down at the Target Center on June 29th. Formiga vs Benavidez joins Tyron Woodley vs Robbie Lawler on the card.
