This Is How The Combat Sport World Reacted To Fury vs Wilder 2

Fourteen months on from their first fight, which ended in a controversial draw, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder entered the ring again on Saturday night, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Going into the rematch, ‘The Gypsy King’ predicted that he would stop ‘The Bronze Bomber’ in the second round. Despite this, the general consensus was that either Wilder would knockout out Fury, or Fury would win on points.

Although Fury was unable to stop Wilder in the second, the fight ended in the seventh round when Wilder’s corner man Mark Breland threw in the towel.

Fury dominated the fight from the first bell to the moment the towel was thrown in, scoring several knock downs. Wilder never recovered from being knocked down in the third round and bled profusely from his left ear, which appeared to impact the former champion’s equilibrium.

At the time when the fight was stopped, Fury was clearly up on all three judges’ scorecards.
