This Is How The MMA World Reacted To UFC Raleigh

UFC Raleigh went down on Saturday night, at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. The main event saw a top five heavyweight clash Curtis Blaydes and the former champion, Junior dos Santos. And it was the American 28 year old who came out on top, scoring a second round TKO stoppage. His third win on the bounce puts ‘Razor’ Blaydes on the verge of getting a title shot.

The UFC Raleigh co-main event featured a welterweight contest between two men who started out their UFC careers in the lightweight division. And while it was Rafael dos Anjos who won managed to win the title during his time competing in the UFC 155lbs division, it was Michael Chiesa who had his hand raised, winning via unanimous decision. ‘Maverick’ has now won all three of his fights at 170lbs.

Elsewhere on the UFC Raleigh main card, Alex Perez scored an impressive first round arm triangle choke over Jordan Espinosa, in their flyweight bout, and Angela Hill stopped Hannah Cifers in the second round, via some relentless ground and pound.
