Three Title Fights Booked For UFC 238 And UFC 239

And just like that, we have three title fights booked for the upcoming UFC 238 and UFC 239.

The UFC has just confirmed that Marlon Moraes and the UFC flyweight champion Henry Cejudo, will fight in the UFC 238 main event, for the UFC bantamweight title.

UFC President Dana White, has also just told ESPN that Jon Jones will defend his light heavyweight title against Thiago Santos in the UFC 239 main event. The UFC boss also said that Amanda Nunes will defend her bantamweight title against the former champion, Holly Holm.

Moraes and Cejudo will battle for the vacant bantamweight title, after TJ Dillashaw vacated the title last week, as a result of receiving adverse results back from his USADA tests on January 19th, when he faced Cejudo.

Brazilian Moraes has won his last four fights, against the best guys in the 135lbs division. Including a very impressive first round finish over Raphael Assunção last month.

The UFC flyweight champion Cejudo, will be heading into UFC 238 having knocked out Dillashaw after 32 seconds at UFC Brooklyn, to defend his 125lbs title.

Jones is coming off of two wins in the last few months, against Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232 and Anthony Smith at UFC 235.

The challenger to his crown, Santos, has won his last four fights inside the UFC Octagon, including most recently, an impressive TKO win over Jan B?achowicz last month.

The two weight division champion Nunes, will be defending her bantamweight title for the fourth time. Last time out though, the Brazilian knocked out Cris Cyborg in 51 seconds to win the women’s featherweight title.

The former champion Holm, is coming off of a win over Megan Anderson last summer, at UFC 225. She was scheduled to fight Aspen Ladd in March, but that bout was canceled, with speculation that it was to make this fight.

UFC 238 goes down on June 8th in Chicago. While UFC 239 goes down on July 6th as part of the UFC International Fight Week, in Las Vegas.
