UFC 235 Loses Exciting Match Up

UFC 235 has lost an exciting match up. It was confirmed during UFC 234 that Ovince Saint Preux vs Misha Cirkunov has been scrapped, due to an injury to OSP.

The injury to OSP leaves Cirkunov without an opponent, with just three weeks until UFC 235, which goes down on March 2nd at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas.

He may not be without an opponent for long though, if the UFC accepts Johnny Walker’s offer to step in on late notice. The Brazilian, who has just come off an impressive first round knockout of Justin Ledet at UFC Fortaleza, tweeted Cirkunov on Sunday.

OSP is coming off a decision loss to Dominick Reyes at UFC 229, last October. Whereas Cirkunov submitted Patrick Cummins at UFC Moncton last October, last time we saw him in action.

UFC 235 sees Jon Jones defend his light heavyweight title to Anthony Smith in the main event and Tyron Woodley defend his welterweight title against Kamaru Usman in the co-main event. It will also see Ben Askren make his highly anticipated UFC debut, against former champion Robbie Lawler.
