UFC 259: Blachowicz vs Adesanya Results And Post Fight Videos

UFC 259 goes down on Saturday night at the APEX Center in Las Vegas. The first of the promotion’s two pay-per-view cards in March features three title fights and a total of 15 fights. In the main event, middleweight champion Israel Adesanya moves up a weight class to challenge Jan Blachowicz for the light heavyweight title.

Adesanya is coming off a dominant title defence against Paulo Costa last September in the UFC 253 main event. His second round TKO extended his unbeaten record in MMA to 20-0. On the same card, Blachowicz also scored a second round TKO victory against Dominick Reyes, which saw him win the vacant light heavyweight title.

In the co-main event, two division champion Amanda Nunes is set to defend her featherweight title against Megan Anderson. The Brazilian is on an eleven fight win streak. The Australian earned her title shot by scoring a first round knockout against Norma Dumont Viana at UFC Norfolk a year ago.

The third title fight at UFC 259 will see Petr Yan make his first title defence since winning the vacant bantamweight title by beating Jose Aldo at UFC 251. Looking to snatch the belt from the Russian will be Aljamain Sterling, who is coming off an impressive first round rear naked choke submission against Cory Sandhagen at UFC 250.
