UFC: Conor McGregor Hits Out At Joshua Fabia And Khabib

In a fresh series of tweet and deletes, Conor McGregor aimed crude barbs at Diego Sanchez’s trainer Joshua Fabia, and his arch-rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Diego Sanchez was released from the UFC prior to his scheduled bout against ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone this weekend at UFC Vegas 26 after he failed to certify that he was medically fit to compete.

In the days leading up to Sanchez’s release and the week that has followed, Fabia has released footage of him confronting the UFC broadcasters during the fighter meeting, leaked his phone call with the promotion’s lawyer Hunter Campbell, and has accused Dana White and Sean Shelby of “sleeping with female fighters”.

Sanchez has also alleged that the UFC might try to kill him after all that’s happened during the past few weeks.

McGregor Hits Out At Fabia

Fabia is known for his odd training methods, including chasing fighters around the cage with a knife. A new video has now surfaced, where the self-proclaimed MMA coach can be seen smacking Sanchez while he’s suspended upside down.

Not surprisingly, the footage has caused quite a stir on social media. Even McGregor, who has publicly defended Sanchez in the last year, urged him to part ways with Fabia.

Body conditioning drills are common in martial arts, as they toughen the body up, making it resistant to different sort of strikes in combat. However, McGregor called Fabia’s techniques ‘preposterous’.

McGregor said that he understood why Sanchez felt disrespected from the commentary team, but he didn’t like the way that Fabia made it all about himself when he confronted Paul Felder, Jon Anik, Megan Olivi, and others at the fighter meeting at UFC 253.

“It’s Only Business”

McGregor then switched his attention to Khabib, after BT Sport posted a tweet containing his infamous “it’s only business” quote he was reported to have said in between rounds at UFC 229. Something the Irishman vigorously denies.

The former two-division champion then slung more insults towards Khabib after one fan suggested that he cheated multiple times during their fight.

He also poked fun at Khabib and his cousin Abubakar Nurmagomedov, who McGregor struck with a left hook during the UFC 229 post-fight melee.

McGregor concluded his rant with one last little dig at Khabib.

A few minutes later however, McGregor deleted all of his tweets. But not before we were able to grab the screenshots.

What do you think of Conor McGregor’s comments about Joshua Fabia and Khabib Nurmagomedov?
