UFC: Dana White Reveals He’s In Talks With Conor McGregor

It’s been another week to forget for Conor McGregor. The infamous Irishman had another run in with the law this past weekend, when he was arrested in Corsica, France, after a complaint was filed against him for alleged attempted sexual assault and exhibitionism. Although he was later released from custody without being charge, the case is ongoing.

In the days that followed, McGregor posted a tweet and delete, that had fans concerned for his mental health. Which he then followed by posting a statement on his personal Facebook page, responding to the allegations that he exposed himself to an unnamed woman in a restaurant, and addressing concerns for his mental well being.

McGregor walked away from the sport in June, claiming that there was nothing exciting to him in the UFC. Despite his most recent retirement, the consensus among fans is that he will return to the Octagon.

Since announcing his latest retirement, Dana White has refused to discuss the former two division UFC champion every time he has been asked. Speaking on Sports Center however, the UFC president revealed that he is now in talks with McGregor.

“We’re actually working on some fun stuff for Conor at the beginning of next year,” Dana revealed. “He should be back next year. I’m not saying he’s coming back to fight, guaranteed, but we’re talking right now about some stuff.”

Speaking to ESPN earlier this week, McGregor’s manager Audie Attar also confirmed that there are talks in place.

“We had some very interesting talks with the UFC recently,” Attar said. “We are excited about the future and working on some fun things. Exciting things to come in the near future.”

McGregor last fought in January, when he only needed 40 seconds to finish ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in the UFC 246 main event. It was the 32 year old’s first fight since losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 fifteen months previously.
