UFC – Tony Ferguson: Time To Give The Fans What They Want

It’s the fight UFC fans all around the world have been dying to see. And now it looks like we have a date and location. Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson is being targeted for Brooklyn on April 18th.

Over the last week, all the pieces have been coming together. Firstly Khabib confirmed that he is preparing for Tony. Within days, the UFC lightweight champion then stated that talks had begun to have the fight in Brooklyn in April.

Fast forward a few days to yesterday, UFC president Dana White confirmed to ESPN that although no contracts had been signed yet, both parties were happy to fight in Brooklyn on April 18th. Then within a couple of hours, Khabib’s manager Ali Abdelaziz, posted a photo to social media of his man’s signed contract.

It would appear that it all that remains now is for Ferguson to sign his contract, and we have ourselves a fight.

Although Tony remained quiet yesterday, in the last hour he has taken to Instagram to post an epic promo. Along with the comment, ‘No more games. I’m open for business. Time to give the fans what they want’.

Tony’s comment makes it clear that he hasn’t signed his contract yet but negotiations are underway. The fact that Team Khabib has posted a photo of their signed contract, implies that they are trying to pressure Team Ferguson to agree to a lesser deal.

Following four botched attempts to meet inside the Octagon in the past, the MMA world will be keeping their fingers crossed that we finally get to see Khabib vs Tony in Brooklyn on April 18th.

We will keep you updated with the negotiations, has they develop.

How do you think Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson will play out when they finally meet inside the UFC Octagon?
