USADA To Retest More Samples Of T.J. Dillashaw

T.J. Dillashaw has found himself in the eye of the storm. The former UFC bantamweight champion tested positive for EPO after his fight with Henry Cejudo back in January, and has since been handed a 2-year suspension by USADA. The United States Anti-Doping Agency retested Dillashaw’s sample collected back in December, which also came back positive for EPO.

With everyone shocked at the recent turn of events, it looks like things might get even worse for the former champion. According to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, USADA will be retesting more samples collected from T.J. Dillashaw in the past.

“Novitzky informs me that USADA will be re-testing any samples of Dillashaw that they still have stored and should they test positive for EPO, it would be considered another violation”, Aaron wrote on Twitter. “His understanding is Dillashaw was tested for EPO for both his Lineker and Assuncao bouts.”

Dillashaw initially received a one-year suspension by the New York Athletic Commission, but USADA hit the former champion with an additional year. If T.J’s results come back positive for any samples USADA might have stored, it could be the end of Dillashaw’s career!
