Usman On Covington: He Acts All Tough Online But All Scared In Person

There’s real bad blood between Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington and the new UFC welterweight champion can’t wait to get his hands on the number one contender.

Usman stated he definitely wants to fight Covington next, saying that talks with UFC President Dana White, have already begun.

The champion also accused ‘Chaos’ of acting all tough online but being scared in person.

“He’s talking mad disrespectful online, this and that, mean to everyone. But in person, he’s hiding out. Like the whole situation recently that just took place (the incident at Palms Hotel the day after UFC 235, which you can watch that here), when I ran upon him, I just wanted to ask him a question. But as soon as I ran upon him, he grabbed an old lady and put an old lady in front of him. And next thing, he pulls it out (his phone) and goes ‘I’ve got you on candid camera, I’ve got you on candid camera'”.

Although this is the fight that Usman and many fans wants to see, his manager Ali Abdelaziz, who was seen throwing a punch at Covington in the Palms Hotel incident, has recently said he wants Usman to defend his belt against Jorge Masvidal next.

Following Masvidal’s impressive knockout win over Darren Till at UFC London last weekend, Abdelaziz told ESPN’s Brett Okamoto that Masvidal should get the next shot and not Covington.

Which led to this response from Covington.

Who do you think Usman should make his first 170lbs title defence against?
