New ONE Championship signing Vitor Belfort, has taken to Instagram to confirm that Roy Jones Jr. has accepted his challenge and the two will meet in his ONE Championship debut.

We reported that Jones Jr. had accepted the challenge a few days ago (which you see here) but now it would appear that ONE Championship are also on board.

According to Belfort’s Instagram message, the contest will be a special rules fight, that the Brazilian has called ‘fair and exciting’.

ONE Championship, with its ONE Super Series, is without doubt the greatest striking promotion on the planet right now. The ONE Super Series sees some of the best Muay Thai and Kickboxing stars in the world compete along side the some of the best mixed martial artist, on every card.

Belfort is a legend of the sport of MMA. While Jones Jr. is regarded as one of the greatest boxers of all time.

ONE Championship have not confirmed the news themselves but Belfort gives the impression that it’s definitely on. We will keep you up to speed with any development on this story, as we get it.
