Andrea Lee Calls UFC On ESPN+ 12 Win Her Worst Fight

Last night, Andrea Lee outpointed Montana De La Rosa, winning the fight by unanimous decision. Lee (11-2 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has maintained her perfect record, but was none too pleased with her performance.

After her fight, Andrea Lee was hard on herself, and said that her fight with De La Rosa was the worst fight she has ever had.

“I thought this was probably the worst fight I’ve ever had”, Lee said in her post-fight quote distributed by UFC (via MMAJunkie). “I was not very happy about my performance, but I got to go back and watch everything. She is a great wrestler, luckily she was not able to do much after the takedowns and I could get back on my feet every time, I just feel I didn’t throw enough volume. I don’t know what it was.”

Andrea made no excuses, and the 30-year old also spoke about analyzing what went wrong with her performance, before thinking about her next opponent in the flyweight division.

“I felt great going into the fight, but you are not always the same in your fights”, Lee was quoted as saying. “There are always things going on in your life, maybe that’s what affected me. I’m not blaming anyone or anything. I just think I could have done better and I should have done better. I had an amazing camp, I was just not able to let it go. But I just proved to myself and everybody else that I’m not going to quit.”
