ROAD FC 053 took place earlier today, becoming the first MMA event to be held on the Jeju Island in South Korea. The $1 million lightweight title fight between champion Kwon A-Sol and tournament winner Mansour Barnaoui was the main event, and Barnaoui came out with the bragging rights.

ROAD FC Lightweight Champion Kwon A-Sol and $1 Million Lightweight Tournament Winner Mansour Barnaoui finally met in the cage after two years of elimination rounds of more than 40 competitors leading up to the 16-man tournament.

Mansour Barnaoui became the new ROAD FC Lightweight Champion via RNC submission, and walked away with $1 million.

In the other fights, the encounter between openweight fighters Aorigele and Heo Jae-Hyeok witnessed Aorigele once again walking away with the win.

Firefighter Shin Dong-Guk got the better of Hayashi Tamotsu in their rematch, and won their encounter via TKO.

Kim Tae-In managed to finish Lim Dong-Hwan after a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to step in and call off the fight.

Yang Ji-Ho and Park Hyung-Geun finally got the opportunity to get their hands on each other, with Yang walking away with the decision win.
