Three main events finished in unfortunate circumstances this weekend. And one of them was the Bellator 215 main event between Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov. After just 15 seconds of the first round, an accidental kick to the groin of Kharitonov from Mitione ended the fight.

Mitrione has since the fight taken to Instagram to apologise to his opponent and the fans, for the low kick that ended the fight prematurely.

Kharitonov was taken to hospital after the fight but was discharged later that night. However, after feeling more pain the next morning returned to hospital for more tests. Although he was again later discharged, it was confirmed that the kick had caused a hemorrhoid.
