Kron Gracie Disagrees With Judges, Ben Askren Responds
This past weekend at UFC Tampa, the BJJ wizard Kron Gracie faced Cub Swanson in the co-main event. Over the course of the three rounds, it was the MMA veteran that out-classed the young prospect. Everybody agreed with the judges’ decision to hand a unanimous decision win to Cub, that is except for Kron himself.
Shortly after suffering his first MMA loss, Gracie took to his social media to express his displeasure.
Kron and “Killer” Cub were awarded the fight of the night. And on his IG, Gracie wrote that he had actually won the fight.
Responding to his claim, UFC welterweight contender Ben Askren took a dig at Gracie, and his 400-0 BJJ record.
“Also under this criteria (kind of like kid from Big Daddy. I win because I win) I now see how Rickson was 400-0”, Askren joked.
Kron’s perfect MMA record was stopped by Cub, as he went 5-1 in MMA. Swanson was also emotional after the fight, as he rebounded from a four fight skid. Both men however took home 50 large, as they were awarded the Fight of the Night bonus. That meant both Swanson and Gracie got $50K each for the fight.
Ben Askren on the other hand will fight Demian Maia at UFC Singapore in two weeks’ time.
