Tyson Fury Signs Co-Promotional Deal With Top Rank

The lineal heavyweight champion of the world, Tyson Fury and promoter Frank Warren have signed a co-promotional deal with Top Rank, it was announced yesterday. Fury, who last faced Deontay Wilder in a fight which ended in a draw, is currently negotiating a rematch with Wilder — something that could now potentially change.

Tyson Fury’s future fights will be co-promoted by Top Rank and Queensberry Promotions. ESPN reported that the new deal would mean Fury would fight at least twice a year in the United States.

“I’m delighted that Frank and Queensberry Promotions have teamed up with Top Rank to promote my fights in America,” Fury said (transcript via ESPN). “With ESPN and [British broadcaster] BT Sport behind me, the biggest sports platforms in the world are now linked up with the best heavyweight in the world.”

The chairman of Top Rank and legendary promoter Bob Arum hailed Fury after the deal, calling him ‘a generational heavyweight talent’.

“Top Rank is very excited to enter into the promotional arrangement along with Queensberry Promotions for the lineal heavyweight champion, Tyson Fury,” Top Rank chairman Bob Arum said. “He is a generational heavyweight talent at the peak of his powers. We also look forward to our growing relationship with [Fury manager] MTK Global, which represents so many world-class fighters.”
